Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Full Eye Yong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yong throws a head kick that misses.
Yong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barron seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Yong connects with a leg kick. Barron looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Barron drives through with a takedown into guard.
Yong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yong stands and steps away. Barron gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Barron shoots for a double leg takedown but Yong sprawls well. He's pushed Barron's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barron closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Yong quickly recovers to half guard.

Barron drops down looking for an ankle pick but Yong pulls his leg out and moves away.
Barron walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Barron tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barron somewhat.

Full Eye Yong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barron manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yong on his heels. He'll look to pass Yong's guard now, I'm sure.
Yong wants to get back to his feet but Barron is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Barron is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yong can do to turn this around?

Yong is pushing Barron's head away, looking to escape. Barron manages to hold on to the position though.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

and Barron counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Yong thinking.

Barron is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Barron swings around for an armbar but Yong sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Barron's guard.

Barron has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Chris Barron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yong gets to his feet - Barron follows without any prompting.

Yong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crunch! Yong slams his shin into Barron's torso.
Yong throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Yong moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Yong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Yong counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Barron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barron circles away quickly and effectively.
Barron throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chris Barron is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
