Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Didier Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasili Zhirkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vasili Zhirkov!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zhirkov gets caught napping as Leroy dives in and scores a takedown. Zhirkov manages to retain guard.

Zhirkov has an active guard here but Leroy has managed to pass into half guard.
Well, if Leroy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Zhirkov is trying is best to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zhirkov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zhirkov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zhirkov tries to roll over but Leroy keeps him under control.

Zhirkov pulls Leroy in close to his closed guard and prevents Leroy from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Leroy gets a takedown into half guard.
Zhirkov is trying to get back to full guard.

Zhirkov pulls Leroy in close to prevent any damage.

Zhirkov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Zhirkov has his foot on Leroy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leroy works his way back into a safe position though.
Leroy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zhirkov on the ground.
Leroy tries to free his leg and advance position but Zhirkov is retaining full guard.
Zhirkov has Leroy pulled in close to control his posture.

Zhirkov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leroy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Zhirkov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Zhirkov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leroy manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Didier Leroy will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Zhirkov misses with a double jab.
Leroy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leroy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zhirkov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Leroy dives in and scores a takedown into Zhirkov's guard.

Zhirkov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Zhirkov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Leroy wants to control from the top but Zhirkov keeps moving.

Leroy has momentary wrist control but Zhirkov slips an elbow through the middle.
Leroy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Zhirkov controls the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Leroy has hold of Zhirkov's hands but Zhirkov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Zhirkov is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zhirkov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that Zhirkov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Zhirkov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Zhirkov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Leroy wants to get back to full guard.
Zhirkov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Leroy has given up his back here. Will Zhirkov look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Leroy covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Zhirkov just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Zhirkov is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Leroy with him. Leroy is trying to defend but Zhirkov has an arm under the chin now! Leroy grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Vasili Zhirkov!
A less than humble Vasili Zhirkov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
