Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardo Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elton Delos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Stanley.
Delos Santos throws a right hand that Stanley ducks under and follows up with a left that Stanley also avoids with ease.
Stanley appears to be looking for a big counter.
Elton Delos Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stanley enables Delos Santos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stanley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Stanley manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Delos Santos has Stanley pressed against the cage, preventing Stanley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Delos Santos has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stanley is trying to keep an underhook but Delos Santos manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stanley has one foot on Delos Santos's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Delos Santos throws an overhand right that lands on Stanley's shoulder, as Stanley tries to avoid the shot.

Delos Santos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Stanley controlling the position for now.
Delos Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stanley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stanley kicks off Delos Santos and gets to his feet.

Stanley forces Delos Santos back against the cage and clinches.

Delos Santos has picked Stanley up - he's going for a ride! Delos Santos dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Stanley gets full guard.
Stanley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Delos Santos's guard.

Delos Santos throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Stanley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Stanley cracks Delos Santos with a solid left hand.
Delos Santos wants to hit a switch here but Stanley passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Delos Santos there!
Stanley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stanley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Delos Santos looks a forlorn figure.
Stanley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stanley fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stanley takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Stanley has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Delos Santos.

Delos Santos is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Stanley.
Stanley looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Stanley lands strikes to the head.
Stanley scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Delos Santos is looking for a way out.

Delos Santos grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Stanley lands shots from the back.
Delos Santos is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Delos Santos is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Stanley.
Stanley lands strikes to the head.
Stanley lands a shot to the head.
Stanley connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Delos Santos to escape the position.
Stanley is landing with strikes. Delos Santos can't take much more of this.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Stanley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Delos Santos can do to turn this around?
Delos Santos gets underhooks to prevent Stanley's takedown attempt.

Stanley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delos Santos lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Delos Santos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stanley throws a big counter combination but Delos Santos scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Delos Santos throws a body shot but no joy.
Delos Santos is breathing heavily.

Stanley wants to clinch.

Delos Santos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Delos Santos lands in his opponent's guard.
Delos Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stanley pushes a forearm under Delos Santos's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Delos Santos is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
