Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Van Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Berget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Van Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Berget!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones cracks Berget with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Berget, as that shot connected.

Jones defending well as Berget loads up on a big left hand.
Jones attempts a counter takedown but Berget avoids it well and moves away.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It seemed like Berget was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Berget looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Berget.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Berget's belly button to the back.
Jones slips under a jab from Berget.
Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Berget wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Berget sprawls and moves away.
Berget throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Berget keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Berget goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Berget struggles to land a body shot inside as Jones controls his hands.

Berget looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Berget smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Berget loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jones scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Berget land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Berget stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evan Berget! Evan Berget retains his welterweight title!
In defeat, Van Jones stepped up to the mic, saying 'I really thought I would keep this standing and win. I apologize to my family, friends, fans and sponsors. I'll be back in the gym working harder than ever for a better result next time I'm in the cage.'.
