Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sol Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Fredrico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fredrico's choice of entrance music: Somewhere In The Between - Streetlight Manifesto. Samuel Fredrico will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sol Duffy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samuel Fredrico!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrico missing with a left hand there. Duffy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Duffy appears to be looking for a big counter.
Fredrico tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Duffy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Duffy is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Fredrico should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Duffy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fredrico as he jumps to the side.
Duffy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fredrico to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fredrico throws a strike but Duffy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duffy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Duffy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Duffy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Fredrico throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Duffy is in close to Fredrico's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fredrico looking for a guillotine here but Duffy defends easily.

Duffy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Duffy works over Fredrico with some ground and pound from guard.
Fredrico had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Duffy defends it easily.
Fredrico keeping moving, preventing Duffy from controlling successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Duffy gets to his feet. Fredrico looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fredrico fails with an attempt to clinch.
Duffy swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Duffy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It looked like Duffy was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fredrico bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Fredrico rushes Duffy and presses him up against the cage.
Duffy fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fredrico lands a takedown into guard.
Duffy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Duffy is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fredrico is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fredrico is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fredrico misses with a head shot. Duffy uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duffy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fredrico loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Duffy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fredrico stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Fredrico is looking to clinch but Duffy is avoiding it.
Duffy was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fredrico, as that shot connected.
Fredrico closes the distance but Duffy moves to the side
and Duffy counters with a three punch combo that has Fredrico backing up. Fredrico nods at Duffy to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Sol Duffy will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fredrico pushes Duffy off and scrambles back to his feet.
Duffy keeps the fight on the outside.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fredrico creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Duffy is rocked!

Oh Duffy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Duffy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fredrico pushes Duffy against the cage. Fredrico is working some dirty boxing. Fredrico pushes off with a quick right hook! Duffy goes down! Duffy tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Fredrico moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samuel Fredrico!
