Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexis Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Diley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexis Payne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Diley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diley throws a low kick, looking for Payne's leg but Payne calmly moves out of range.

Diley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Diley just misses with a elbow thrown towards Payne's brow.

Diley gets control of Payne's arms and successfully pulls guard. Diley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Diley holds on and takes a little breather.

Payne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Diley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Payne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Payne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Payne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Diley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Payne sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Payne steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Diley.
Payne throws a one two combo.

and Payne counters with a left and a right that stings Diley.
Diley misses with a hook. Payne ducked under it nicely.
Diley misses the body punch
and Diley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Diley has eaten all the pies!
Diley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Payne counters with a one-two to the body.
Diley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Payne tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Diley manages to circle out of the way.
Payne scores with a one two! Diley had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Diley moves into the clinch successfully.

Payne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diley closes the distance and clinches up with Payne, looking for a takedown. Diley pushes Payne against the cage but Payne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Payne delivers a nice body kick.

Diley throws a body shot but no joy.
Diley throws an off balance right hand
and Payne counters with a left and a right that stings Diley.
Diley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Payne can pounce on him.

Payne cracks the inside of Diley's front leg.
Payne looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Diley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diley showed some decent athleticism there.
Diley misses with a head shot. Payne uses the momentum to regain guard.
Payne utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Payne's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Diley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Payne tries to avoid it but Diley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Payne to the ground. Payne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Payne was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Payne counters with a one-two to the body.
Diley misses with a hook to the body
and Payne counters with a three punch combo that has Diley backing up. Diley nods at Payne to acknowledge the strikes.

Diley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Alexis Payne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Diley.
Payne moves out of range of the strikes.
No joy there for Diley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Alexis Payne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Payne is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diley can do to turn this around?

Payne is trying to trip Diley. He has hold of a leg but Diley is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Payne persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Payne has gone for a leg lock! Diley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Payne's guard.

Payne is trying to control the position but Diley postures up.
Diley content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Payne is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Diley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diley's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Frank Diley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Diley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Payne's head.
Oh Payne is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diley postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Payne covers up, he's hurt! Diley keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Diley and the ref steps in to end the fight! Diley can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Diley!
