PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Crown Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelo Peruzzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crown Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Peruzzi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peruzzi avoids the head kick by Halo.
Halo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Broken Halo's -Temple of Illumination in the buildup to the fight.
Peruzzi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Halo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Halo throws a head kick but Peruzzi moves out of range.
Peruzzi wants to counter the offense by Halo and move into the clinch position.
A telegraphed right hand from Peruzzi misses the target.
Peruzzi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Halo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A cross from Peruzzi lands.
Halo misses with a few strikes there.
Peruzzi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Halo throws a front kick that sends Peruzzi stumbling back into the ropes.
Peruzzi closes the distance looking to clinch
and Halo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Halo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A slapping leg kick lands for Halo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Peruzzi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Halo slips a jab from Peruzzi.
Peruzzi throws a looping overhand right but Halo ducks down to avoid it.
Halo slips a straight right by Peruzzi.
Peruzzi misses with a left hand
and Halo counters with an outside leg kick.
Peruzzi looks to land a right hand but Halo moved out of range.
Peruzzi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Halo.
Halo just misses with a punch to the body.
Peruzzi throws a lazy uppercut
and Halo counters with a body kick.
Halo throws a shot to the body.
Halo lands with a nice body punch.
Peruzzi looks winded!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Halo breaks from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Halo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Halo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Peruzzi misses with a lunging right hand
and Halo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Peruzzi's knee momentarily.
Halo scores with a jab. Peruzzi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Halo lands a jab to the head.
Peruzzi tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Halo counters with a left to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Halo. Peruzzi shrugs it off though.
Halo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Halo lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Halo. Peruzzi shrugs it off though.
Halo digs a good body shot into Peruzzi's ribs.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Halo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Peruzzi at a distance.

Halo rushes Peruzzi and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Halo lands a hook that snaps the head of Peruzzi backwards.
Halo lands a hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crown Halo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nice body punch from Halo.
Peruzzi wants to clinch.
Halo jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Halo cracks Peruzzi with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Peruzzi get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Peruzzi looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Halo looks to land a body kick but Peruzzi moved away.
Peruzzi throws a right hand that misses
and Halo counters with a body kick that stops Peruzzi in his tracks momentarily.
Crown Halo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Peruzzi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


Peruzzi is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Halo connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Peruzzi out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Crown Halo!
