Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petro Poroshenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mujibur Rahman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahman misses the body punch

and Poroshenko counters with a single leg into guard. Rahman didn't expect that.
Poroshenko stops Rahman from standing up.
Poroshenko throws a strike but Rahman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Rahman won't allow Poroshenko to get back to his feet.
Poroshenko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Poroshenko is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Russian Top Team Elite Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Rahman wants to control from the top but Poroshenko keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poroshenko wants to stand and escape but Rahman is having none of it.
Poroshenko controls Rahman momentarily but Rahman frees himself.

Poroshenko pushes Rahman off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rahman. Poroshenko does a little dance to reset his feet.

Poroshenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rahman was covering up waiting for the punch and Poroshenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Rahman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Poroshenko's guard.

I've been told that Rahman has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rahman is on top in guard.

Poroshenko tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poroshenko wants to stand up but Rahman is controlling him.
Rahman controls from within his opponent's guard.
Rahman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Rahman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rahman stops Poroshenko from standing up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Poroshenko wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Poroshenko manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Rahman is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Rahman looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Rahman throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Poroshenko lands a takedown into guard.

Poroshenko throws an elbow that misses. Rahman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Poroshenko's guard. Nice move by Rahman!

More stalling from Rahman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Petro Poroshenko will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Poroshenko feinted with a counter takedown.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rahman.
Rahman misses with a head kick.
Rahman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Poroshenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rahman avoids it really well and circles away.
Rahman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Poroshenko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rahman moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rahman misses with a wild body shot.
Poroshenko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rahman defends it nicely.

Rahman looks for the body kick but Poroshenko saw that one coming.

and Poroshenko counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rahman!
Petro Poroshenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rahman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Poroshenko looks up at the clock and then as Rahman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Poroshenko smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Rahman can't do much from the bottom here.
Poroshenko throws a strike aimed at the side of Rahman's head but Rahman avoids it well.

Poroshenko in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Rahman looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Poroshenko turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Petro Poroshenko!
The defeated Mujibur Rahman had this to say: 'Nekst time mi cut you, cut you baaad!'.
