Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Dulin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Apache (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Apache's choice of entrance music: Eye of the Tiger. Geronimo Apache has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sasha Dulin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Geronimo Apache!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dulin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Dulin drives through and clinches with Apache against the cage.
Apache is pressed up against the cage. Dulin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Apache down to the mat. Apache avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Apache has taken the fight to the clinch.

Apache breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Apache shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dulin defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dulin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Apache throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dulin.
Dulin misses with a body kick.
Apache unleashes a big counter combination but Dulin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Dulin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Dulin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dulin lands in his opponent's guard.
Dulin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dulin trying to control but Apache is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Apache keeping full guard, as Dulin tries to pass.
Dulin sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Apache has momentary wrist control but Dulin slips an elbow through the middle.

Dulin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Apache dives on top into guard.


Apache gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Dulin lands with a straight right. Apache didn't see that one coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Apache doesn't manage to clinch there - Dulin circles away.
Apache on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Dulin throws out a loose jab but Apache uses good head movement to avoid it.
Apache lands a two punch combo.
Dulin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Apache appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Dulin tries to clinch but Apache is having none of it.

Apache gets tackled into the cage by Dulin. Dulin maintains the clinch.

Apache manages to pull guard.
Dulin with a nice head shot there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dulin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dulin wants to control from the top but Apache keeps moving.
Dulin looking to sit in guard and control but Apache gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Apache stands up from Dulin's guard - Apache perhaps looking for a knockout.
Dulin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice sprawl there from Dulin as Apache shoots in.
Apache takes one to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sasha Dulin will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Dulin slips a jab and a cross from Apache.
Apache fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Geronimo Apache seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dulin lands an overhand right.
A slow jab from Dulin misses its intended target.
Apache tries to clinch
and Dulin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Apache fails to land the takedown.
Dulin throwing a counter right hand but Apache manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dulin has closed the distance and engaged Apache in a clinch.

Apache breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Apache rushes Dulin and presses him up against the cage.
Apache is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Dulin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Apache pulls his leg out and moves away.

Dulin moves into the clinch successfully.

Apache breaks from the clinch.
Apache misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Apache has closed the distance and engaged Dulin in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Apache manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Apache with that takedown attempt.
Sasha Dulin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geronimo Apache.
Apache swats away the attempt to clinch by Dulin.
Apache is looking for the big counter here.
Dulin shoots in and drives through. Apache sprawls well.
Apache throws a fast counter high kick but Dulin manages to duck under it in time.
Apache gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dulin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Apache shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dulin pinned against the cage. Dulin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dulin jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Dulin tries to clinch up
and Apache connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Apache displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dulin throws out the jab.

Apache closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dulin quickly recovers to half guard.
Dulin is trying to stand up here but Apache is controlling him well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Apache wants to control but Dulin is keeping him busy.

Dulin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Apache decides to stand up.
Apache misses with a takedown attempt - Dulin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dulin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dulin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Apache throws a counter combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Geronimo Apache will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Dulin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Apache clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Dulin tightening his grip on Apache, looking for the choke.
Apache takes a big shot to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Apache wants to get back to his feet.

Dulin has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Apache is in real trouble here. Dulin gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Apache is tapping out! Dulin wins by rear naked choke!
