BamBam Rubble will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuzo Fukiko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, BamBam Rubble!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fukiko has managed to clinch.
Fukiko keeps control of Rubble as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Fukiko pushes Rubble back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Fukiko throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A short right from Fukiko.
Rubble misses with an elbow over the top.
Rubble is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fukiko will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rubble up against the cage.
Rubble takes a shot to the head.
Fukiko on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Fukiko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rubble pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Fukiko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fukiko clinches up with Rubble and pushes him back against the cage.
Fukiko prevents Rubble from breaking the clinch.
Fukiko cracks Rubble with a nice body shot.
Nice body punch from Fukiko - that landed with a thud.
Rubble looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rubble stops a takedown attempt from Fukiko.
Fukiko lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Rubble letting Fukiko take a breather here.
Fukiko lands a hook that snaps the head of Rubble backwards.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Fukiko lands a body punch in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fukiko lands with a left to the head.
Fukiko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rubble pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryuzo Fukiko. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fukiko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rubble tries to strike from the bottom.
Fukiko advances to half guard.
Fukiko performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Rubble is in trouble now - Fukiko has advanced to mount!

Fukiko is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Fukiko!
