Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ein Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ein Stein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dick Tanner!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanner clinches.
Tanner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tanner tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Tanner comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Tanner lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Ein Stein has been cut.

Tanner tries to break the clinch but Stein is controlling the position.
Stein effectively controlling the action here.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Stein takes an elbow to the forehead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tanner misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Stein.

Tanner cracks Stein with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Stein appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
A jab from Stein misses.
Nice defenses there by Stein.
Tanner takes a swing at Stein's ribcage but misses.
Tanner is looking to clinch.
It looked like Stein wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Stein lands a slapping body shot.

Dick Tanner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tanner thumps Stein with a low kick.
Tanner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stein throws out the jab.
Tanner misses with a hook. Stein ducked under it nicely.
Stein throws a quick counter head kick but Tanner was just out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Still in the clinch, Stein scores with a nice short uppercut.
Stein jumps guard but Tanner stands there with Stein around his waist. Stein gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stein pulls guard effortlessly.

Tanner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stein has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tanner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Stein tries to keep at a distance but Tanner has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stein takes a knee to the side of the body.

Stein ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stein no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stein holds on and takes a little breather.

Stein is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Stein trying to keep a closed guard but Tanner is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stein is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tanner is aware though and is defending well.
Tanner works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Tanner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ein Stein will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Tanner throws an overhand right that lands on Stein's shoulder, as Stein tries to avoid the shot.

Stein tries to counter with a takedown but Tanner is quick to defend against it.
A low kick from Tanner is predictable there

and Stein decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tanner's guard.

Tanner is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stein's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tanner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tanner scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stein misses with a body shot.

Stein drives through with a takedown into Tanner's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Stein is standing up over Tanner. Tanner looks to escape but Stein dives into side control.

Stein has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tanner!

Stein throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Tanner tries to lock up and control but Stein gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Stein throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Stein sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tanner tries to lock up and control but Stein gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Tanner is bucking up trying to escape but Stein cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Stein prevents Tanner from getting the reversal.
Tanner tries to hold on but Stein postures up.

Stein lands with some strikes.
Stein scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tanner?


Tanner is rocked!
Tanner is trying to stand.
Tanner wants to control but Stein is having none of it.
Stein looking to control but Tanner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Tanner's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Stein lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Tanner tries to hold on but Stein postures up.

Stein is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tanner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Stein breaks from Tanner's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Tanner is still in real trouble! Can Stein finish him?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stein is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Tanner goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Stein!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ein Stein!
Ein Stein decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
