PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anihilator Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton comes into the arena with Voices blaring out of the sound system. Bruce is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alison Hell. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Orton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anihilator Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bruce.
A head kick by Bruce misses
and Orton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bruce throws a hook to the side of Orton's head but Orton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bruce keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Orton.
Orton connects with a body shot.
Bruce is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bruce is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bruce takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Orton has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Body Pain_14elite_650$+VM in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Orton connects with a right hand. Bruce shakes it off.
Bruce looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Orton is fending him off so far but Bruce persists. Nope, Orton circles away and we're back to standing.

Bruce is rocked!

Bruce shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Orton defends it nicely.

Orton feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bruce sprawling to the canvas! Bruce rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Orton finish him?!
Bruce is still on wobbly legs! Can Orton finish him?
Orton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bruce was well out of range. Poor timing from Orton.
Bruce tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bruce seems to have recovered his senses.

Orton sends Bruce crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Orton is motioning to the referee to let Bruce up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big right from Orton misses.
Bruce wants to counter with a clinch but Orton pushes him away.
Orton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bruce stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Are you kidding me?! Orton ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Bruce clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rick Orton!
A relieved looking Rick Orton thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Anihilator Bruce was interviewed post fight and said 'Sorry fans, next time we will make it'.
