The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mereyra walks into a left hand.

Mereyra has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mereyra tries a body shot but Osborne blocks it.
Osborne has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Mereyra pulls guard effortlessly.
Osborne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mereyra is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Osborne is controlling him.
Mereyra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mereyra is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Osborne won't allow Mereyra to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mereyra tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mereyra should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Osborne tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Osborne has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Osborne is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mereyra is trying to escape and Osborne transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mereyra is forced to tap! Nice work there by Osborne! Very nice indeed!
