PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jurgen von Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strange comes to the cage accompanied by Adam Strange - Traveller. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Strange closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Strange lands in his opponent's guard.

Strange tries to clinch but von Diaz moves away

and von Diaz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Strange's guard.
von Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Strange wants to sweep but no luck.

Strange working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. von Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. von Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Strange scrambles and gets back to his feet.

von Diaz rushes Strange and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Strange is trying to trip von Diaz. He has hold of a leg but von Diaz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Strange persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

von Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Strange gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

von Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strange's guard.

Strange looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but von Diaz is defending well. Strange quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! von Diaz has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Strange celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
