Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monsun Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Scott Morgan enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses with a combination
and Moon counters with a three punch combo that has Morgan backing up. Morgan nods at Moon to acknowledge the strikes.
Morgan throws a lazy uppercut
and Moon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Morgan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Moon.
Moon misses with a double jab.
Morgan tries a head kick but it misses.
Moon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moon scores with a jab.
Morgan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Moon. Moon circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Morgan throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Moon counters with a single leg into guard. Morgan didn't expect that.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Moon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moon drops back looking for a leg! Morgan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morgan manages to kick Moon off! Moon jumps back into Morgan's guard.
Morgan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moon.
Moon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Moon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Moon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
A swing and a miss from Morgan.
Moon with a jab.

Moon scores with a takedown into Morgan's guard.
Moon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Moon connects with a couple of short punches.
Moon content to stall in guard here.
Morgan keeping moving, preventing Moon from controlling successfully.
Morgan pulls Moon in close to his closed guard and prevents Moon from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Moon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morgan is keeping the position for now.
Moon throwing strikes but missing.
Morgan can't keep his opponent in guard - Moon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Moon working over Morgan with some ground and pound. Morgan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moon is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monsun Moon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Morgan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Morgan doesn't manage to clinch there - Moon circles away.
Moon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Moon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moon lands in his opponent's guard.
Morgan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Moon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Morgan keeping moving, preventing Moon from controlling successfully.
Moon throws a big elbow that misses.
Moon lands a couple of decent looking shots.


Morgan is rocked!
Monsun Moon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Moon gets to his feet and stands over Morgan, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Morgan felt that one! Moon unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Morgan from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Monsun Moon!
