Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Motorhead - Iron Fist. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kieran Summers!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Topper Green and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Summers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Summers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Summers trying to control the action but Patton is working from the bottom.
Summers tries to move to mount but Patton blocks the move with his legs.
Summers misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Patton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Summers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Patton's coaches at Golden Child Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Summers is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Patton has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Patton!

Patton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Summers feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Patton's calf.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
