Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnathan Porradero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Corey Mask!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mask swats away the attempt to clinch by Porradero.
Porradero looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Porradero wants to clinch up but Mask keeps it at a distance.
Porradero tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Porradero is looking to clinch but Mask is avoiding it.
Johnathan Porradero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mask shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mask was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mask landing punches.

Despite being in the dominant position, Corey Mask just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A head kick misses from Mask.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mask gets a takedown into half guard.
Mask passes the guard and advances to mount!
Mask lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Porradero hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corey Mask dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Mask doesn't manage to clinch there - Porradero circles away.

Mask feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mask stands up and waves to Porradero to follow him.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Mask tries to close the distance and clinch up but Porradero swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mask scores a takedown into full mount!
Mask lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mask sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Let's hope that Mask has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mask with the ground and pound from mount.
Porradero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mask on the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corey Mask showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Mask clinches with his opponent.
Mask tries to break the clinch but Porradero is controlling the position.
Porradero lands an elbow that stopped Mask in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like Corey Mask has been cut.
Mask is working for takedown but Porradero is calmly controlling the position for now.
Mask on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mask has Porradero pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Porradero manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mask tries for a takedown but Porradero manages to get underhooks.
Johnathan Porradero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corey Mask.
Mask wants to get back to striking at distance but Porradero won't allow it.
Mask is trying to break free.
Porradero blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Mask fails to pull guard.
Mask fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mask is looking to control Porradero's arms but Porradero gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mask has his back to the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mask wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mask stalling in the clinch but Porradero improves position.
Mask on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Mask is trying to trip Porradero. He has hold of a leg but Porradero is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mask persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mask loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Mask controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mask throws a big right hand that misses.
Mask slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Corey Mask has got the better of the ground game so far.
Porradero is being controlled here.

Porradero is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mask is putting a hurting on Porradero here, landing some big shots from side control.

Corey Mask comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Mask winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
