Machado's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Head Like a Hole - Nine Inch Nails. Flavius Aetius has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matt Machado's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado throws a quick inside leg kick.
Machado is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Machado. No joy for Aetius on that attempt.
Aetius tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Machado swivels and escapes.
Machado throws a sloppy head kick and Aetius moves out of range easily.
Aetius closes the distance and clinches up with Machado, looking for a takedown. Aetius pushes Machado against the cage but Machado circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Matt Machado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flavius Aetius.
Aetius throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machado's waist but Machado gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aetius off to one side.

Aetius shoots for a double leg takedown but Machado sprawls well. He's pushed Aetius's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Aetius escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
