Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Noon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Will (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Noon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeffrey Will!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Will closes the distance and clinches.
Noon scores with a shoulder strike.
Will's coach down at Island Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Will's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Noon is looking for a takedown.

Noon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Will tries to clinch there but Noon circles away.

Will closes the distance and clinches.
Noon tries for a takedown. No joy.
The referee is keeping an eye on Will - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Will blocks an elbow strike.
Noon tries a body shot but Will blocks it.
Noon tries to pull guard but Will forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Will shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Noon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Will has eaten all the pies!
Will wants to pass the guard but Noon is keeping the position.
Noon thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Noon keeping full guard, as Will tries to pass.
Will lands a couple of elbows.
Noon keeping moving, preventing Will from controlling successfully.
Will distracts Noon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Will lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.


It looks like John Noon has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Will would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Will must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Noon keeping moving, preventing Will from controlling successfully.

Will stands up and waves to Noon to follow him.

Will bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Will winds up and cracks Noon with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Noon catches Will with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Will blocks a low kick nicely.
Will shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Noon but Noon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Noon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Will stuffs the takedown attempt from Noon. Noon gets slowly back to his feet.

Noon is not content to let Will control the position.

Will tries to move into range but Noon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A big left from Noon misses.
Will stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Will wants it to stay on the feet.
Noon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Will closes the distance and pushes Noon back into the cage.
Will has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Noon throws a strike but Will rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Will is in close to Noon's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Will chips away with some ground and pound.
Will is looking to stand up but Noon won't let him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Will lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Noon leaves Will with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
John Noon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffrey Will.

Noon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Will tries to clinch up.
Noon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Noon jumps guard but Will turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Noon is looking to break free of the clinch but Will has double underhooks.

Will shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Noon is trying to defend but Will finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Will is nestled in close to Noon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Will is looking to take a break and control but Noon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Noon tries to roll over but Will keeps him under control.

Jeffrey Will comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Will has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
