Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Yas Uru and Shi Fu Tu. Fu Tu has chosen Klendathu drop as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Shi Fu Tu enters the cage!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Yas Uru! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Shi Fu Tu!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Fu Tu rushes Uru and presses him up against the cage.
Uru is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fu Tu pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Uru has Fu Tu pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fu Tu manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Fu Tu tries to pull guard but Uru won't allow it.

Fu Tu has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Uru uses from the top position.
Fu Tu is trying to keep Uru in close.
Our spies down at at Scotty's Yard inform us that Fu Tu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fu Tu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Uru controls the pace.
Uru sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fu Tu's guard.

Uru tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fu Tu knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Fu Tu wants to improve his position but Uru is controlling well.
Uru looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fu Tu wants to control but Uru is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fu Tu looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fu Tu is trying to control but Uru manages to pass to mount!

Uru takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Uru's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fu Tu manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Uru looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Uru prevents Fu Tu from improving his position.

Uru wants to pass the guard but Fu Tu is defending well.
Uru passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fu Tu!

Fu Tu is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Uru has taken his back.

Uru slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Fu Tu is trying to break free.
Uru gets his hands free as Fu Tu looks to control.
Uru really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Fu Tu.
You can see the frustration on Fu Tu's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Uru is working for a submission of some sort.
Uru is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Uru is looking to advance position but Fu Tu won't allow it.
Uru works his way into side control.

Uru content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
You can see the frustration on Fu Tu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fu Tu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Uru wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Uru advances nicely into full mount.

Fu Tu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Uru swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fu Tu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Uru haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Uru is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Uru is looking to take a break and control but Fu Tu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A very excited looking Yas Uru rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
