Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rhys Coulthard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Smith Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith Jr has chosen Public Enemy- shut em down as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith Jr scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The fighters circling - Smith Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Coulthard throws a hook to the side of Smith Jr's head but Smith Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Smith Jr loads up on a big right hand but Coulthard slips the punch.
Smith Jr uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Coulthard has time to react.
Coulthard drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Smith Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

It looked like Coulthard wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Smith Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coulthard circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Coulthard.
Coulthard throws a big shot that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Coulthard was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Smith Jr.

Coulthard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Smith Jr sprawling to the canvas! Smith Jr rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Coulthard finish him?!
Smith Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Coulthard finish him?
Coulthard drops Smith Jr with a big left hand! Smith Jr is injured, injured bad! Coulthard jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
