Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuuto Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshida comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blue Oyster Cult Godzilla kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Yoshida has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Yoshida misses with a body punch
and Yoshida takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ruth moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Ruth steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yoshida.
Yoshida lands a nice hook to Ruth's body. Ruth takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Good shot there by Yoshida.
Ruth misses with a body shot.
Ruth throws an overhand right that lands on Yoshida's shoulder, as Yoshida tries to avoid the shot.
Yoshida lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Donk. Yoshida catches Ruth right on the button with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A combination from Yoshida does no damage.
Yoshida catches Ruth with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nice uppercut there from Yoshida.
Yoshida takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A slapping leg kick lands for Yoshida.
Yuuto Yoshida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruth dives in for a single leg takedown but Yoshida sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Yoshida tries to clinch up but Ruth circles away and keeps his distance.
Yoshida misses with an uppercut.
Ruth shoots in but Yoshida avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Yoshida.
A lazy left from Yoshida finds it's target.
Ruth getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Yoshida swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ruth counters with a straight right hand.
Yoshida misses with a leg kick.
Yoshida connects with a single shot there.
Ruth throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Yoshida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It looked like Ruth was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Yoshida.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yoshida lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ruth connects with a jab.

Yoshida is rocked!
Ruth ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Yoshida's jaw. Yoshida's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Ruth does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ed Ruth!
