Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elton Delos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Diaz's choice of entrance music: Serenade. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elton Delos Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Pedro Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Delos Santos throws out a powerful jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Diaz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Delos Santos - the referee stops the clock and Diaz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Delos Santos. Diaz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Diaz felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
