Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gumby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tick Tock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hunter's guard.

Hunter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jones has hold of Hunter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hunter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hunter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hunter wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hunter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hunter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hunter wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jones looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hunter puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hunter checks it well.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunter, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A nice combination there by Hunter.
Hunter plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Hunter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hunter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Jones is looking to clinch but Hunter is avoiding it.
Hunter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hunter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hunter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jones but great work by Hunter.

Hunter wants to stand but Jones is controlling his arm.
Hunter scores with a couple of short elbows.
Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hunter off and has taken his back!

Jones looking to break Hunter's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hunter remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jones will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Hunter is having to fend off submission attempts from Jones, who is looking to sink in the choke. Jones doesn't have the hooks in though and Hunter manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Jones controls Hunter momentarily but Hunter frees himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gumby Jones will probably get the nod.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hunter throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hunter is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.

Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hunter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Jones shoots in but Hunter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hunter dives on top into guard.
Hunter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jones has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hunter should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jones has tightened it up now! Hunter should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
