Buttesen has chosen Svennebanan as his entrance music. Mikel Buttesen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Luke Vader's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buttesen moves forwards but Vader connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Buttesen tries to clinch there but Vader circles away.

Vader gets a takedown into half guard.

Buttesen manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Vader keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Vader wants to break the clinch but can't.

Vader lands a takedown into guard.
Vader throws a strike but Buttesen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buttesen trying to control the position from guard on top but Vader is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vader is on top in guard.

Buttesen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vader.
Vader trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Buttesen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vader manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Buttesen is in close to Vader's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Vader is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Vader looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Buttesen passes into side control.
Vader wants to get back to his feet but Buttesen drags him back down.

Buttesen is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Vader is trying to escape and Buttesen transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Vader is forced to tap! Nice work there by Buttesen! Very nice indeed!
