Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darrick Rodriquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Tickels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tickels is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Killers - Mr. Brightside. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Tickels!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tickels scores with a hook.
Tickels darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Tickels is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tickels missing with a left hand there. Rodriquez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Tickels lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rodriquez is looking to land body kicks.
Tickels lands a head shot.
Rodriquez jabs at Tickels's body.
Tickels is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriquez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rodriquez keeps the fight on the outside.
It looked like Rodriquez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Tickels misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tickels keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tickels tries to clinch up but Rodriquez circles away and keeps his distance.
Rodriquez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tickels tries to land a front kick but Rodriquez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tickels looks to clinch
and Rodriquez counters with a one-two to the body.
Rodriquez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rodriquez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rodriquez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tickels to score with a decent uppercut.
Rodriquez connects with a leg kick. Tickels looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Rodriquez throws a solid leg kick but Tickels takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rodriquez.
Rodriquez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tickels misses with a leg kick
and Rodriquez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tickels's guard.
Tickels is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rodriquez dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tickels tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tickels misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Tickels felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Rodriquez is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Tickels is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Rodriquez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rodriquez is trying to work for a kimura but Tickels is defending well.
Tickels wants to control the action here but instead Rodriquez manages to pass to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rodriquez is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Rodriquez misses with a head kick.
Tickels throws a good cross that connects.
Tickels has closed the distance and engaged Rodriquez in a clinch.
Tickels swings wildly with an uppercut but Rodriquez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rodriquez jumps guard and drags Tickels to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rodriquez wants to sweep but no luck.
Rodriquez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tickels.
Tickels throws an elbow that misses. Rodriquez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tickels's guard. Nice move by Rodriquez!
Tickels throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rodriquez slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Tickels.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tickels makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tickels.
Tickels looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tickels has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rodriquez has passed into side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rodriquez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tickels, who protects the arm well.
Rodriquez is trying to get an arm triangle but Tickels is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tickels is trying to strike from the bottom but Rodriquez has passed into full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darrick Rodriquez dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Tickels tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rodriquez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Tickels trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Tickels is just holding on here. Rodriquez manages to take his back.
Tickels tries to escape the position.
Rodriquez is working for a rear naked choke. Tickels is not defending it well and Rodriquez has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Tickels refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Tickels's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Darrick Rodriquez!
