The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Murdock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Murdock misses with a hook
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Murdock misses with an uppercut.
Murdock looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Johnny Jones has been cut.

Murdock sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Murdock is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Jones is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Murdock finds Jones's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Jones flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Murdock lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Jones will be OK.
