The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Slice, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Slice throws a right and a left that Cole avoids nicely.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slice as he avoids it easily.
Slice looks to land a combination but Cole avoids it well.
Slice misses with a jab, cross combination.
Slice throws a nice looking combination but Cole bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Slice rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cole moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A punch combination from Slice misses.

Cole rushes Slice and presses him up against the cage.
Cole is pressed up against the cage. Slice has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cole down to the mat. Cole avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Slice fails to land with a series of punches.
Slice is breathing heavily.
Slice misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cole slips a jab and a cross from Slice.

Cole closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cole passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Slice!
Cole looking to control but Slice is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Cole wants to finish this one by submission but Slice is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cole.
Cole can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Slice is looking to escape.

Cole is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Cole extends the arm and Slice is forced to tap!
