Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Kobashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Harbor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenta Kobashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 28 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Harbor!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobashi digs a good body shot into Harbor's ribs.
Harbor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kobashi.
Kobashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Harbor is just out of range.
Harbor scores with a sloppy right hand. Kobashi should have avoided that one.

A low kick from Kobashi is predictable there
and Harbor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Harbor tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've been told by Kobashi's head coaches at Bruize Brothaz that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We've been informed that Harbor has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harbor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kobashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Harbor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kobashi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kobashi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kobashi!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but James Harbor will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Harbor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Harbor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kobashi but Kobashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kobashi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kobashi connects with a leg kick. Harbor looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kobashi clobbers Harbor with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Kobashi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Harbor stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Harbor's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kobashi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Harbor scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Harbor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Harbor lands in his opponent's guard.

Harbor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kobashi can pounce on him.
Kobashi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kobashi lands a leg kick that knocks Harbor off balance momentarily.
Harbor takes a swing at Kobashi's ribcage but misses.
Kobashi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenta Kobashi.
I think Kobashi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
