The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ftw closes the distance and pushes Watkins back into the cage.
Watkins is trying to pull guard but Ftw turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Ftw manages to break the clinch.
Watkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

It looks like Dustin Watkins has been cut.
Watkins tries to break the clinch but Ftw is controlling the position.

Ftw throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Watkins is defended easily by Ftw.

Ftw forces Watkins back against the cage and clinches.

Ftw is looking to take a break and control but Watkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Watkins sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Ftw is trying to work for a kimura but Watkins is defending well.

Ftw stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Ftw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ftw showed some decent athleticism there.
Ftw wants to control but Watkins is keeping him busy.
Watkins works his way to full guard. Good work.

Ftw won't allow Watkins to sweep him here.
Watkins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dilligaf Ftw has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ftw throws a strike but Watkins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Ftw pushes Watkins off and gets back to his feet.
Ftw leaves Watkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Watkins darts in looking for a takedown but Ftw gets double underhooks and turns Watkins into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dustin Watkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ftw moves into the clinch.

Ftw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ftw has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ftw manages to break the clinch.
Watkins is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Watkins.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Look low, kick high! Ftw uses the oldest trick in the book to send Watkins tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Ftw is absolutely delighted - when Watkins wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
