The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hullo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Santana has picked Hullo up - he's going for a ride! Santana dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Santana has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Santana looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hullo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hullo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Scot Santana will probably get the nod.

Hullo throws a series of punches but Santana moves out of range.
Hullo lands a left and a right that send Santana crashing to the mat, dazed. Hullo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Hullo lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Santana out cold! Santana is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
