The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ishii circles away.
Ishii tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wilson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ishii is looking to clinch but Wilson is avoiding it.
Ishii wants to clinch up but Wilson keeps it at a distance.
Satoshi Ishii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson fails to land with a series of punches.
Ishii has his takedown stuffed

and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. Ishii fights it but they end up in guard.

Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ishii swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wilson postures up in Ishii's guard and throws a big left but Ishii blocks it.
Wilson wants to pass the guard but Ishii is keeping the position.
Wilson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ishii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ishii swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Wilson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wilson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ishii is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Wilson rolls with it to try and escape but Ishii cranks on the arm and Wilson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
