The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown lands a jab-cross combination.
Gardner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brown has hold of Gardner's hands but Gardner slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Brown wants to improve his position but Gardner is controlling well.
Brown keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Brown slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Brown is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gardner is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control.
Brown is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Brown wants to stand up but Gardner is controlling him.
Brown has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gardner should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Brown has tightened it up now! Gardner should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
