The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faup shoots in and drives through. Kung sprawls well.
Faup has his takedown stuffed

and Kung moves into the clinch.
Kung misses with the head strike.
Kung is leaning against Faup and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Faup tries to pull guard but Kung holds him up against the cage and eventually Faup drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Faup. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kung lands a shoulder strike.
Kung lands an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kung.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kung swings wildly with an uppercut but Faup uses good head movement to avoid it.
Faup tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kung smiles and moves away.

Kung got a little sloppy there for a moment and Faup has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kung has managed to get both his arms back between Faup's legs - danger averted.
Kung postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Kung in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've been hearing good reports from Faup's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Oh but Faup is tightening it up a little... Kung has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kung reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kung taps out! Nice BJJ there by Faup!
