The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traeger moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Traeger tries to land a body kick
and Joyner counters with a single leg into guard. Traeger didn't expect that.
Joyner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Traeger looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Joyner puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Traeger is looking for a sweep. Joyner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Traeger wants to control but Joyner is keeping busy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A head kick misses from Joyner.
Joyner drives through with a takedown into Traeger's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Traeger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Joyner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Joyner content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Traeger has locked up a guillotine! Traeger's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Joyner is holding on here and Traeger must be using up a lot of energy. Joyner has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Traeger gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
