Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianfranco Abruzzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Ludacris: It's Cold Outside. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abruzzi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Gianfranco Abruzzi has been cut.
Abruzzi throws a jab but it's blocked by Diaz.
Abruzzi throws out a loose jab but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Abruzzi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diaz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Abruzzi on the side of the head.
Diaz lands a lovely overhand right.

and Diaz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Diaz throws a body punch but Abruzzi moves out of range.

The fighters circle momentarily. Diaz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abruzzi throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

As Abruzzi backs away, Diaz returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Diaz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Abruzzi at a distance.
Abruzzi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

letting Diaz counter with a right hand.
Abruzzi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Diaz eats them both and turns towards Abruzzi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Diaz moves out of range as Abruzzi strikes.
Diaz swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Diaz lands a head kick. Abruzzi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abruzzi looks to land a left hand but Diaz moved out of range nicely.

Abruzzi is rocked!
Abruzzi gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That has opened up Gianfranco Abruzzi's cut even more.
Diaz fakes the body blow, causing Abruzzi to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Abruzzi goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
