Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cohen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes stuffs the takedown.

Hayes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cohen is trying to defend but Hayes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hayes is looking for a kimura but Cohen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hayes to get the leverage.
Hayes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Cohen tries to kick Hayes off in order to stand up. Hayes Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hayes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cohen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hayes decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Cohen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Hayes moves into the clinch.

Hayes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cohen looking to sit in guard and control but Hayes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cohen is looking to stand up but Hayes isn't so interested in that idea.
Hayes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cohen scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hayes manages to mount him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hayes loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Cohen scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hayes land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hayes stands and salutes the crowd.
