Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Del Rio!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Rio tries a low kick but Jackson avoids it.
Del Rio takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Del Rio cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Del Rio circles away and keeps his distance.
Del Rio throws a leg kick but Jackson moved away.
Jackson has a takedown stuffed.

Jackson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Del Rio!

Jackson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Del Rio get back to his feet.
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Del Rio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Del Rio misses with a double jab.
Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Del Rio.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jackson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Del Rio working for a triangle but Jackson defends it easily.
Jackson is stalling in the full guard.

Jackson wants to control from the top but Del Rio keeps moving.

Jackson stands up and waves to Del Rio to follow him.
A swing and a miss from Jackson.
Del Rio throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Del Rio pushes him off.
A little jabbing left from Del Rio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jackson misses with a takedown
letting Del Rio counter with a right hand.


Jackson is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Del Rio weaves into range and cracks Jackson right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Jackson goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Del Rio is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matt Del Rio!
A very excited looking Matt Del Rio rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
