The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red Robin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Parenti.
Parenti decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Parenti takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Parenti lands with a punch from half guard.
Parenti controlling the pace.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parenti throwing shots but Red Robin is blocking nicely.
Parenti decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Red Robin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parenti.
Parenti tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Red Robin defends well and Parenti ends up having to push Red Robin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

It looks like Giovanni Parenti has been cut.
Parenti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Red Robin circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giovanni Parenti. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Red Robin cracks Parenti on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Parenti falls backwards against the cage. Red Robin follows up with more strikes that drop Parenti to his knees. Red Robin keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Parenti! This one is all over!
