The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And Schultz tries to counter it with a takedown but Lesnar pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lesnar swings widly with a right hand
and Schultz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Schultz moves out of range.
Lesnar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Schultz manages to avoid it.
Schultz drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lesnar defends it well.
Schultz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lesnar.

Lesnar gets a clinch.
Lesnar lands with a left to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schultz has Lesnar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lesnar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lesnar works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Schultz looks winded!
Lesnar tries to throw a body punch but Schultz avoids it by throwing Lesnar back against the cage.
Lesnar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Schultzs head.

Lesnar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Schultz backwards.

It looks like Chuck Schultz has been cut.
Lesnar lands with a light punch inside.

Schultz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Lesnar dips a shoulder and cracks Schultz with a mighty uppercut! Schultz falls back against the cage and Lesnar unloads with a barrage of strikes! Schultz is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lesnar screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
