Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirby Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchell Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kirby Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mitchell Ho!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Robbins.

Ho rushes Robbins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Robbins is trying to pull guard but Ho turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Robbins decides to pull guard.
Ho would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ho slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Ho throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Robbins works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Robbins wants to get back to his feet.
Robbins is staying active underneath Ho, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Robbins won't allow Ho to pass to mount.
Robbins tries to get to full guard but Ho has control of the leg.
Ho is controlling the pace.

Ho stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Ho scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ho shoots in for a takedown but Robbins shows good takedown defense.

Ho takes the fight into the clinch.
Robbins fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Robbins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ho just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirby Robbins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ho is trying to break the clinch but Robbins is controlling him.
Robbins tries to pull guard but Ho forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Ho escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ho is on top in guard.

Ho postures up in Robbins's guard and throws a big left but Robbins blocks it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ho passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Robbins gets back to half guard.
Ho not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Robbins is not content to let Ho control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mitchell Ho dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ho has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Robbins tries to pull guard but Ho forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ho has Robbins pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Robbins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ho tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Robbins is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ho to keep the fight standing.

Ho displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Robbins.

Ho lands a hook that snaps the head of Robbins backwards.

Robbins manages to pull guard.
Ho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ho stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robbins tries to avoid it but Ho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robbins to the ground. Robbins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ho feints and then cracks Robbins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Robbins down.

Ho is trying hard to land a takedown here. Robbins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kirby Robbins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Robbins looks for a takedown but Ho sprawls well.
Ho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ho clinches up with Robbins and pushes him back against the cage.

Ho throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

so Robbins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Ho is trying to keep Robbins in close.
Ho looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robbins is one step ahead there.
Ho keeping moving, preventing Robbins from controlling successfully.

Ho is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Robbins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ho is looking to sweep but instead, Robbins has passed into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Robbins is thwarting Ho's attempts to control the position.

Mitchell Ho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice sprawl there from Robbins as Ho shoots in.

Robbins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ho is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Robbins dives into side control.

Robbins postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Robbins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Robbins trying to control the action but Ho is working from the bottom.
Ho tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Robbins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ho takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Robbins is staying tight to Ho's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Ho looking for a sweep but Robbins has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Ho is squirming around, avoiding Robbins's attempts to control the action.
Robbins postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ho looks a forlorn figure.
Robbins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ho is looking to escape.
Kirby Robbins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Robbins with shots to the head and body - Ho looks very uncomfortable down there.

Robbins breaks from Ho's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ho takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Robbins is landing with some decent strikes but Ho is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
