PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Landon Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor Ruttenum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin comes into the arena with Ratamahatta blaring out of the sound system. Ruttenum has chosen The Game - El Chapo as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Ruttenum !
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin cracks Ruttenum with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Conor Ruttenum has been cut.
Austin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Austin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Austin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ruttenum looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ruttenum has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ruttenum tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Austin makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ruttenum really felt that one!

Austin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Austin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ruttenum is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Austin looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Austin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Austin scores with a jab. Ruttenum acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Austin stuffs the takedown.
Austin seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ruttenum gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
