Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ace Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by National Anthem. Thiago Silva is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scores with a nice head shot.

It looks like Ace Brown has been cut.
Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brown is trying to control but can't.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brown.
Brown is breathing heavily.

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva wants to stand but Brown has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Silva trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom.
Silva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Brown had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brown Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Silva controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Brown is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Silva tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Brown is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thiago Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws a one two combo.
Silva lands a nice looking kick to the body. Brown takes a step back to recover.
Silva scores with a head kick.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brown gets the takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
Silva pushes Brown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Silva is looking to reverse the position.

Brown goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brown but great work by Silva.
Brown tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.
Silva tries to stand but Brown is controlling his head.
Brown manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva thows a big elbow that misses.

Silva throws a strike but Brown rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brown prevents Silva from improving his position.

Silva is kicking away at Brown from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Brown grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a hell hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Silva trying to push Brown off... Silva taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
