Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki has chosen wadiako as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughs throws a combination. Shinoki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Shinoki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shinoki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shinoki feints the counter takedown.

Shinoki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hughs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Shinoki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hughs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shinoki has managed to get both his arms back between Hughs's legs - danger averted.

Shinoki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Shinoki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
