Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stevie Franchise!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Franchise gets caught flat footed, as Conway shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Franchise has his foot on Conway's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conway works his way back into a safe position though.
Conway content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Conway working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Conway has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Conway chips away with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franchise not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Conway will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Franchise has hold of Conway's hands but Conway slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Conway connects with a nice short shot to Franchise's temple.
Franchise is looking for a sweep. Conway is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Franchise is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Conway pulls his head out easily.
Conway winds up and cracks Franchise with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Conway takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Conway scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Franchise is looking to improve his position.
Conway wants to control but Franchise is keeping him busy.
Franchise tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Conway landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Conway content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Conway seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Conway is tying to control. Franchise wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Conway looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Conway misses with a double jab.
Franchise checks the leg kick nicely there.
Franchise stuffs the takedown attempt from Conway. Conway gets slowly back to his feet.
Conway looks to throw the jab but Franchise is out of range.
Conway tries to clinch but Franchise is having none of it.
Conway looks for a takedown but Franchise sprawls well.
Conway walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Conway.
Franchise is trying to improve his position.
Conway postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Franchise is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Conway off and has taken his back!

Franchise misses with a punch to the head.
Franchise struggling to keep hold of the position.
Conway wants to escape the position.
Franchise biding his time, looking for the opening.
Franchise controlling well, preventing Conway from escaping the position.

Franchise working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Conway is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Franchise has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Conway taps out!
