Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thickski Brickhackski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thickski Brickhackski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Owen!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Owen. Those never looked like landing.
Brickhackski changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Brickhackski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Owen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Brickhackski fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Owen struggling a bit here.
Owen wants to get back to his feet but Brickhackski drags him back down.
Owen is not content to let Brickhackski control the position.

Brickhackski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brickhackski sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Owen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Brickhackski has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The strikes coming from Brickhackski are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Owen pushes Brickhackski away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brickhackski gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Brickhackski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Owen regains half guard, as Brickhackski was trying to land strikes.

Brickhackski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brickhackski wants to take a breather but Owen is having none of it.

Owen tries to get to full guard but Brickhackski has control of the leg.
Brickhackski with the ground and pound but Owen uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Brickhackski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Owen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Owen has escaped and now he's on top!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brickhackski holds on and takes a little breather.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brickhackski wants to stand up but Owen is controlling him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brickhackski seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Brickhackski wants to sweep here but Owen controlling him for the moment.
Brickhackski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Owen trying to control but Brickhackski is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Owen is fighting to break Brickhackski's control of his arms but Brickhackski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Owen won't allow Brickhackski to sweep him here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Brickhackski is working hard here to advance position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Owen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brickhackski closes the distance and clinches up with Owen, looking for a takedown. Brickhackski pushes Owen against the cage but Owen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Owen throws a head kick that misses.
Brickhackski misses with a two punch combination.
Owen feints the counter takedown.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Brickhackski!

Owen gets tackled into the cage by Brickhackski. Brickhackski maintains the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A bit of stalling here from Owen.
Owen is trying to force a seperation but Brickhackski has the dominant position.
Owen working hard to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thickski Brickhackski dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Brickhackski fails with the takedown.

Brickhackski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Owen trying to control but Brickhackski postures up.
Brickhackski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Brickhackski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Brickhackski throwing shots but Owen is blocking nicely.

Brickhackski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Owen is just riding it out for now. Brickhackski eventually gives up the hold.

Owen is looking to improve his position.

Owen is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Brickhackski has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Owen is tapping! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Thickski Brickhackski!
Thickski Brickhackski was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
