PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Jaskok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tinto comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shell Shocked kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Jaskok misses.
Jaskok throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tinto ducks under a wild hook from Jaskok.

Jaskok looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jaskok throws a good cross that connects.
Jaskok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tinto moves away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tinto has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jaskok fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tinto sprawls well initially but Jaskok persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tinto wants to control but Jaskok is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jaskok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tinto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jaskok defends it easily.

Tinto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jaskok can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jaskok is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tinto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
