The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock throws a shot from downtown. Cruz moves away and avoids it.
Shamrock blocks a low kick nicely.
Cruz throws a series of punches but Shamrock avoids them all with ease.
Shamrock looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cruz is fending him off so far but Shamrock persists. Nope, Cruz circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice defenses there by Shamrock.
Shamrock showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cruz.
Cruz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cruz throws an overhand right that lands on Shamrock's shoulder, as Shamrock tries to avoid the shot.
Cruz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Shamrock is rocked!
Cruz lands a brutal uppercut that launches Shamrock off his feet! Shamrock tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
