Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teodoro Pollard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Bob looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teodoro Pollard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Bob!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob fails with a takedown attempt.

Bob throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pollard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bob is in Pollard's guard.

Pollard has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bob has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Pollard is struggling to control the position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pollard takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Pollard tries to break free but Bob pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pollard taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Bob prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pollard tries to circle away but Bob has him pinned against the cage.
Pollard is struggling to control the position.

Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bob darts in and clinches Pollard up against the cage.
Pollard wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pollard stops a takedown attempt from Bob.
Bob tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pollard smiles and moves away.
Teodoro Pollard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Bob.
Pollard jabs Bob right on the nose. Bob blinks but takes it well.
Bob looks winded!

Bob has Pollard up against the cage in a clinch.
Bob is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pollard is defending well.
Bob has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Pollard seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Bob can turn it around.

Pollard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bob shoots in but no luck this time.

Bob dodges the punch combination from Pollard.
Pollard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bob tries to counter with a clinch but Pollard shakes him off and moves away.
Bob darts in trying to clinch
and Bob takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pollard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bob walks into a jab.

Bob pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pollard wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Pollard really is a fat lump.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pollard, as that shot connected.
Bob misses with a combination
and Pollard counters with a stiff right hand.
Bob tries to clinch
and Pollard counters with a left to the body.
Pollard scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bob doesn't seem bothered though.

Pollard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bob did well to prevent Pollard getting side control.

Pollard seems to be looking for submissions.
Pollard seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Bob wants to get back to full guard but Pollard has mounted him!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pollard goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bob turns into him and now he's in Pollard's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pollard working for a triangle but Bob defends it easily.
Pollard is trying to keep Bob in close.

Pollard throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bob uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Pollard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bob.
Teodoro Pollard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bob misses with a takedown attempt - Pollard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bob tries for a takedown but Pollard circles away easily
and Pollard counters with a straight right hand.
Bob will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pollard throws a big counter combination but Bob scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Bob looks to land a right hand but Pollard moved out of range.
Bob is breathing heavily.
Pollard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pollard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pollard wants it to stay on the feet.
Pollard half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bob fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jim Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pollard misses with a series of wild punches.
Pollard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bob tries to counter with a clinch but Pollard shakes him off and moves away.
Teodoro Pollard is winning the standup battle so far.

Pollard moves into range and clinches up with Bob.
Pollard wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pollard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bob can do to turn this around?

Pollard unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bob lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Pollard lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bob backwards.

Pollard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bob has a takedown stuffed.
A nice inside leg kick there by Pollard. That's going to slow Bob down.
Pollard throws a right hand that Bob ducks under and follows up with a left that Bob also avoids with ease.
Left hook, right uppercut from Pollard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pollard throws a right and a left that Bob avoids nicely.
Bob fails with a takedown attempt.

Pollard lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Pollard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pollard throws a right and a left that Bob avoids nicely.
Pollard moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Pollard's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pollard duly obliges.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bob lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pollard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pollard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bob gets caught flat footed, as Pollard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pollard chips away with some ground and pound.
Bob really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pollard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bob tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bob can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pollard scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Pollard postures up and lands a big shot to Bob's brow.
Pollard working some strikes from top position.
Bob is looking to sweep but instead, Pollard has passed into half guard.

Bob is defending against the submission attempts here by Pollard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Bob has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bob fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bob has Pollard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pollard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pollard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bob has managed to get both his arms back between Pollard's legs - danger averted.
Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pollard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bob defends it easily.
Bob takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bob with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pollard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pollard wants to stand but Bob is controlling the position.
Pollard keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully.

Bob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pollard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bob has managed to get both his arms back between Pollard's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bob is looking to stand up but Pollard won't let him.
Bob passes Pollard's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pollard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bob is working away from the top position though.
Pollard works his way to full guard. Good work.

Pollard has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bob should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pollard has tightened it up now! Bob should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
