And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paul drives through with a takedown into guard.
Paul pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paul is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Paul drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Paul jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Paul sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jackson's guard.
Paul looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paul on the ground.

Paul is controlling the pace.
Paul is pressing down on Jackson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jackson is holding on for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Paul uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson.

Paul postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.
Paul can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

Jackson tries to lock up and control but Paul gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.

Paul working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jackson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Paul off and cradles Jackson's limp body as Paul celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Bradley Paul!
